In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
And peace and blessings be upon the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers.
Welcome dear visitors to the website of the College of Islamic Propagation. We are pleased to introduce you to this Islamic scientific edifice that has been giving for more than forty years. This college was founded in 1974 AD after the scholars and thinkers of the Islamic nation who gathered in Tripoli, between 13 and 18 Shawwal 1390 AH, corresponding to 6 to 11 December 1970 AD, recommended its establishment with the Islamic Propagation Society. Among those scholars were Mahmoud Sobhi, Ahmed Hassan Al-Baqouri, Malek Bennabi, Abdel Halim Mahmoud, Ahmed Al-Sharbasi, Abdullah Kanun, Hosni Jozo, Abdel Qahar Madhkar, Abdel Karim Saito, Al-Habib Al-Mustawi, Ahmed Tonji, Mutaa Adhami, Al-Mahdi Bin Abboud, Omar Baha Al-Din Al-Amiri, Saleh Masoud Buisir, Ibrahim Rafidah, Ali Mustafa Al-Misrati, and others.
The attendees set goals for the association, many of which fall under the responsibility of its academic wing, the College of Islamic Propagation. These goals include:
_____________________________________________________________
The College of Islamic Dawaa has worked to implement many of these goals that fall within its scope, and has graduated thousands of preachers, teachers, and judges over the years of its formation at the university and postgraduate levels. It has achieved all four of the first points of these goals in its moderate, middle-of-the-road curricula, published books and periodicals, held seminars and conferences, and disseminated the Arabic language to non-native speakers in books or educational courses or through its rehabilitation institute.
It continued its moderate middle education in its branches in Senegal, Benin, Chad, Lebanon, London, and previously in Syria and Karachi. It is now seeking to open a new branch in Istanbul, Turkey, which will receive students from Turkey, Syria, and the Islamic republics in Central and North Asia and the Balkans. Thus, it has achieved the fifth and sixth points of the association’s objectives. It has also worked through graduate conferences and others to implement the seventh point of the same objectives. It has communicated with Islamic universities and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Islamic Universities, a member of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World, and has joint activities with some international and regional organizations in its educational field. Thus, it has achieved the tenth point of the objectives of establishing the association to which it belongs.
The college has received written recognition from universities in the Islamic world and elsewhere, most notably Al-Azhar University. The college’s branch in London received recognition from the British Quality Center. However, the most important step that crowned the college’s international recognition was obtaining an official certificate from the Libyan Quality Center, which communicates with world universities and international quality centers. Thus, the college’s certificates were internationally recognized, and its students continued their postgraduate studies in various countries of the world.
In conclusion, I invite you to review a broader definition of the college, its branches, systems, curricula, certificates, students and professors through this long-awaited website, which will seek to develop itself with you, the sons of the college and its branches, graduates, students and those wishing to communicate with it or join its academic ranks. I thank the hand of everyone who contributed to its creation, development and programming, without specifying so that I do not deprive anyone who has made any contribution of his right, while I pray to God Almighty to reward everyone who has provided service to this sublime Islamic edifice.
Welcome back to our website, and may you be in peace.
Dr. Abdul Hamid Abdullah Al-Harama
