Master’s Thesis on the Meanings of Recompense in the Qur’an Earns an Excellent Grade at the Islamic Da‘wah College

The Islamic Da‘wah College hosted the defence of a master’s thesis submitted by Nigerian researcher Saeed Oluwafemi Orosina in the Islamic Sharia Division on the morning of Thursday, 8 October 2026. The thesis was entitled “The Usage of the Term ‘Recompense’ and Its Diverse Meanings in the Noble Qur’an.”

The defence took place in the auditorium named after the late Dr Ahmed Al-Khulaifi at the College, before an examining committee comprising:

  1. Prof. Abu Bakr Muhammad Abu Suwair — Supervisor and Rapporteur.
  2. Prof. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Miftah — Member.
  3. Prof. Abdulsalam Muhammad Al-Akkashi — Member.

Following the defence and deliberations, the committee approved the thesis with an overall grade of Excellent, commending the researcher’s scholarly efforts in its preparation.

On this occasion, the College extends its heartfelt congratulations to the researcher, praying that Allah blesses his knowledge and efforts and enables others to benefit from his scholarship. The College also expresses its sincere appreciation to the examining committee for their valuable contributions to scholarship and academic research.
